Indoor & Herbaceous Plant Identification (HORT 4113)

This webpage was developed to support the herbaceous plant identification class (HORT 4113) in the Department of Horticultural Science at the University of Minnesota taught by John Erwin.  Plants (and common and Latin names) students will be expected to identify will be drawn from the list below.  The course syllabus is found here:  HORT 4113 Course Syllabus.  Plants listed, and content attached to the 'buttons' for each below, may change as the course progresses, but not after a plant is covered.  Content attached to each button was sourced from a variety or websites/sources including:  http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/ and https://www.houseplantsexpert.com/.
